Description
Modern scan tools are great at finding engine faults, but have one major limitation - they only "see" what the car's computer sees.
This means that spark plug, lead and coil problems frequently result in a "No Fault Found" diagnosis from the scanner, leaving you none the wiser.
We know, we've been there!
Now, by supplementing your scanner with the HI ARC and COP ARC ignition testers from RW Motortec, these problems truly become a thing of the past.
Approach an active plug lead with the HI ARC and you'll hear a "beeping" sound, one beep for every firing impulse, allowing you to evaluate the quality and reliability of the spark. LEDs tell you whether the cylinder is positive or negative firing (great for DIS engines), whilst, at the push of a button, you get accurate, repeatable firing kV values.
It's as simple as that and a typical ARC test takes just 20 seconds per cylinder!
